Do You Want Street Fighter IV on the Wii?

Want to play Street Fighter IV on the cutest and tiniest of home consoles? Capcom's Yoshinori Ono wants to let you, but apparently needs lots of fan requests before any such project can be greenlit. He made the reveal as part of a long and pretty great interview with Siliconera.

Right now we know Street Fighter IV will come out on three home platforms, but have you thought about the Wii at all?

The more people that ask about it, the more likely we are to move in that direction. The very existence of Street Fighter IV was based on people asking about it for so long. If we get a lot of requests it will be something we will think about. It might be difficult to reproduce the graphics exactly as they are, but the gameplay should be completely intact. Its something we can think about.

Yes... Very Yes.

Personally I'd rather have an arcade perfect port of the game than a scaled down version on the Wii, but porting the game on the Wii definately wouldn't hurt. If they went the extra mile, added some sort of motion sensing functionality and made it work where Mortal Kombat failed I'd probably get it on the Wii.

It seems pretty absurd to add motion sensing to a Wii port of a fighting game.
