Now Exiting E3 Panic Mode

Whew. That's it, people, all the games I saw at E3 this year. I'm about to do a wrap-up post that lists the absolute best stuff for DS and Wii that I saw, and then we are through. You may notice a few E3 games didn't get a write-up here, so I thought I'd go over the reasons why. You can guess for yourselves what problem a particular game had...
  • It sucked. For my format I wanted to cover the good and bad of each game presented to us. If I couldn't think of anything good... well, better not to waste your time or mine with it, right?
  • Assets were incomplete or missing. Anything third-party where I couldn't get at least a logo, fact sheet, and fresh screens got passed on. This was a big problem with multiplatform games, as assets packs usually didn't make it very clear what was Wii-specific.
  • The game wasn't really there. A bunch of companies announced E3 games that were only present as trailers, while other companies that didn't attend the show did release new asset batches. My policy was that if I didn't see it running on an actual system somewhere in L.A., it didn't count.

You deserve a break! You've been crankin' out stuff like no tomorrow!

He's right. Take a breather girl.

Your last couple weeks have been impressive. It's rare to find this degree of professionalism and thoroughness in the gaming media. What's even more noteworthy: this is a one woman show. Right now, the only thing that could make this site better is if Sardius came back from the dead.

I'm looking into that nest week. Usually when he drops off it's because Gamasutra has him really busy, so I figure he won't see a breather until I do-- maybe later if there are tons of interviews to transcribe.
