The Lowdown: Big Bang Mini is a twist on the portable shoot 'em up from the developer of Nervous Brickdown, featuring music from the same artists. Defend your ship by launching fireworks from the bottom screen to the top with a flick of the stylus. If your fireworks don't hit enemies, they explode and rain debris down on the bottom screen, which your ship must avoid. Big Bang Mini unfolds over nine worlds with multiple levels, multiplayer, multiple difficulty levels, and online leaderboards to add depth to basic explosive fun.
The Hype: Nervous Brickdown was a cult hit, usually considered the best BreakOut clone for the Nintendo DS. If Arkedo can bring the same creativity to their take on the shoot 'em up, then they've got a winner on their hands.
The Snark: Um... man, I've got nothing here. I suppose it's possible you could hate... fireworks?
Anyway, enjoy some incredibly colorful screens and art behind the cut.
