Partial Track List Released for Guitar Hero On Tour

May. 2 11:36 AM by Lynxara

The track list for the long-awaited, faintly accordion-like Guitar Hero On Tour for Nintendo DS got revealed in the June issue of Nintendo Power, and was all over the internet before I even got my issue. Curses! Anyway, here's the list for you guys, since I think this assortment of songs is quite likely to make for good conversation in the comments. It's a little too long to front-page by itself, but just hit the cut for the list and some links to listen to songs you haven't heard before.

I'm not sure what to make of this song assortment, myself. Of the fifteen announced, I like about five, which is a lower overall proportion than usual for a Guitar Hero soundtrack. With no possibility of DLC or expanding the selection on the DS, that feels a little like a deal-breaker. Interestingly, the KISS song mentioned on the list appears to be reusing a cover from Guitar Hero 3. The original info about Guitar Hero On Tour promised about 25 or so songs, so I have to wonder if the rest of the unannounced tracks are going to be recycled from other Guitar Hero games?

SMASH MOUTH

GODDAMNED SMASH MOUTH

Is this punishment? Is Guitar Hero DS going to take place in hell? Is the role of Satan going to be played by the fat guy from Smash Mouth?

I have to agree with Sardius here; this list seems to be entirely without merit. I'm tempted to say it's a joke.

I don't know much about music, but the mere presence of Smash Mouth and Daughtry on that list suggests to me that this lineup was chosen on the basis of "we know the audience we're going for with this port."

It says PARTIAL But Daughtry and Smashmouth. Now that sucks.

Hey cool, Nirvan- EHHHHHH

Okay, erm... I don't really love or hate Smash Mouth in particular, but good god why does everyone love that track All Star so badly? It's not THAT good a song that it needs to be in everything ever!
