Capcom Offers Apology, New Cover to Okami Wii Owners

Capcom's some awesome guys, an I don't say that just because they're still sponsoring us way after when the original deal was supposed to end. The day after the news of the IGN watermark on the Okami cover blew threw the gaming internet, the Capcom blog was quick to offer a sincere apology.

I can honestly say that my worst day at Capcom was this Monday. After releasing Okami for the Wii last week to some great reviews (Metacritic Average: 88), one of our Okami diehard fans discovered that the folks who work here at Capcom are, in fact, human and can make mistakes.

Capcom has more for you than just an apology, though. They also want to give you one of three different covers to slide over your watermarked cover, which you can get by submitting your mailing address at this Capcom website. (The art at top is the cover I requested.)

Now, this won't do anything to alleviate the shame of watermarking on your copy of Okami's manual or the Official Strategy Guide cover, but it's a nice gesture.
