Sam & Max Confirmed for Wii

Well, that took freaking long enough. Telltale Games has finally confirmed that their very successful adventure game revival of Sam & Max is going to come to the Nintendo Wii. The Wii version is going to be published by Dreamcatcher and the Adventure Company, and will be called Sam & Max: Season One. It will port the first six episodic "chapters" Telltale produced with the characters. The confirmation came from GameSpot, probably after they asked Telltale about Sam & Max on Wii for the 3,463rd time.

As the sequel to the 1993 cult classic Lucasarts PC adventure title Sam & Max Hit the Road, the six "episodes" that comprise Sam & Max: Season One all debuted to solid critical reviews and much rejoicing from fans of the characters (originally from a black & white indy comic, and briefly stars of a Fox cartoon series). All Telltale needs to do in order to produce a title worth a Wii owner's time is just not screw up the implementation of the Wii Remote controls. You can handle that, right, guys?

"Ive never been 'traipsing' before, Sam. Does it hurt?"

I quote Sam & Max: Hit The Road on an absurdly common basis, but havent yet managed to catch any of the current episodic series. I will definitely snag this for the Wii.

I saw this the other day and I for one am very excited. I loved the original but can't bring myself to stare at a computer screen after work long enough to play the new stuff. I'll be the first in line!

By the way, I like the new look!

Glad you enjoy it, I was pleased. The new look only lasts until the 11th, so enjoy it while you can! Capcom's very sponsoring us to help get the word out about Okami Wii, and there is no awesomer game that could take over the site for a week.
