Do You Hate Lakitu?
Feb. 6Well, do you? I mean, Lakitu's a total bastard. If you don't, you should. The only way to handle him is to run through his territory really fast (not always an option), somehow kill him (also not always an option), or hold on to a Fire Flower so you can pick off his horrible spiky progeny quickly.
Super Mario Bros.'s recurring enemy Lakitu is one of a few Nintendo antagonists who made the cut in GameGirl's Annoying Enemies list. Another one they mention are the Fire Keese from Zelda. Keese in general are pretty annoying, so I can see it.
Where I disagree with them is Zubat. Now, I'm kind of cool to Pokemon, it's gotten stupidly over-complicated over time, but a constant is that I freaking love Zubat. I always use the little guy for at least a bit in my party, and I don't think he's especially bad to fight-- wild ones typically have lousy HP on top of Flying weaknesses.
I can't be the only person in the world who loves Zubat, right? If you also love Zubat and his crazy evolution chains, please sound off so GameGirl can know that, yes, someone does the freaky little bat Pokemon.

Lakitu provides you with an easy 99 lives in Super Mario Bros. 3 and controls the camera in Mario 64, the only Mario game with good camera controls. So give the little dude SOME credit.
The often-spread lie that the camera in Super Mario 64 is good needs to stop NOW.
Also Zubat shows up just way too damn much, all the time, especially since you can't avoid Pokemon in caves.
Plus any Pokemon with a Happiness evolution is just automatically annoying.
So...many...lives...lost...to Lakitu....AAAAAAAHHHHHH!
