I didn't cover Factor 5's widely-reported reunion with Nintendo. While Factor 5's Star Wars efforts for the GameCube seem well-regarded, to me they're the guys who made the bitter disappointment that is Lair. If I typed "Lair developers to create games for Nintendo Wii!", would you be excited? Yeah, I thought so.
Regardless, my indifference let this hot story fall through the cracks. The GamePro mothership picked up a tip from a smaller site that claimed Factor 5 had gone back to Nintendo to create a new title in the long-neglected Kid Icarus franchise, a flight simulator of sorts using the Wii Remote. If so, well, I doubt NIntendo would let quality control slide on this baby the way Sony apparently did, and a Wii Kid Icarus game could be pretty kickass. Here's hoping it turns out well, if it's even being made.

If a Kid Icarus game on Wii were only developed as a flight simulator, I'd be pretty upset. An action/adventure title that incorporated flight into the controls would be a different story all together.
When I try to envision a straight flight simulator for a Kid Icarus title, I'm left thinking of a tech demo or something along the lines of Link's Crossbow Training. I'd rather play a full-out adventure along the lines of Twilight Princess or Metroid Prime 3, complete with puzzles and actual challenge. The first Kid Icarus was a good challenge back in the day.
I have to agree with Klarth. I enjoyed the heck out of Kid Icarus (both of them) back in the day, and having Pit relegated to mere flight simulator, especially after his badass revamp for Brawl, would be very disappointing.
