Website Pre-Registration Open for Guitar Hero III Replacement Discs

I reported on it when pre-registration opened for Activision's Guitar Hero III replacement disc program, but this was a pretty ugly process that involved getting on the phone and talking to people.

If you don't want your day ruined by contact with other humans, you can now register for your replacement disc via this handy-dandy website. Just input your personal information and follow the instructions to get your free replacement.

We will send you a disc replacement package which will consist of exchange instructions, a replacement disc claim form, and a postage paid envelope for you to return your current copy of the Wii version of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Once you receive your package, please complete the claim form and return your original game as directed. Once we receive your game, we will mail you the free replacement disc.

What I want to know is how can one be sure that the copy of the game in the guitar bundle is the updated version before purchasing. I can't find an answer to that on the various websites Activision has up for this game.

I haven't seen any copies of the Wii bundle in stores around here since before Christmas, but if and when my wife and I get this game I want to make sure that I don't have to mess with getting a replacement disc.
