Wii Repairs Brain Damage

Dec. 6 1:21 PM by Alicia Ashby

Well, it's official. The Nintendo Wii is the magic console that can doanything.

Headway is a British organization that tries to help out victims of brain damage, and they happened to buy a Wii with hopes of amusing some of the younger patients who visited its Shrewsbury day center. In usual fashion, all of the patients started playing, and suddenly doctors noticed it was good for everybody. From the article:

A brutal assault on Philip Mitchell, 38, left him permanently brain damaged. He still struggles to hold a cup in his right hand.

But 30 minutes playing virtual bowling on the Wii console can make a huge difference. He says: "I always notice an improvement.

I can hold things in my right hand without it being a worry."

Talk about training your brain in minutes a day.
