Status Updates on Fatal Frame IV, Disaster: Day of Crisis

Two titles were notably absent at Nintendo's San Francisco press conference: Disaster: Day of Crisis and Fatal Frame IV. Reggie Fils-Aime commented on the status of both titles during interviews after the morning's main conference.

The prognosis for Fatal Frame IV is bad. Fils-Aime's response after pressed by a reporter for a status update on Fatal Frame IV was "you're going to have to contact the publisher for questions on that." Which, you know, means that publisher absolutely isn't going to be Nintendo of America, though the game could go to another publisher. Tecmo, maybe?

Disaster: Day of Crisis is in a more uncertain area. When pressed by Kombo and other journalists for a statement on the game's North American fate, Fils-Aime's response was paraphrased to the effect of Nintendo of America was going to monitor the game's sales in Japan and probably Europe before making any final decision. Fils-Aime then hinted that signs of high demand for the game in North America could sway Nintendo of America's decision.
