Nintendo Details Wii Speak Channel, New Price for Animal Crossing Bundle

We've got some shiny new details about Nintendo's Wii Speak peripheral, specifically how Nintendo intends to support it and how much it'll cost. We know that Wii Speak retails individually for $29.99, but the MSRP on its pack-in bundle with Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii has dropped $10 to $59.99. This makes the game bundle more of a deal if you have any interest at all in having a Wii Speak around your house.

To support Wii Speak, Nintendo is going to debut the Wii Speak Channel. Anyone who purchases a Wii Speak gets a code that lets them download the Wii Speak Channel from the Shopping Channel for free. You can use the Wii Speak Channel to host "conference calls" with up to three other friends you've already exchanged Friend Codes with. While chatting, all participants are represented onscreen by Miis who have little animations to go along with the conversation. You'll also be able to send photos and messages to friends with audio "captions" attached.
