Here's something that's not confirmed for the US yet, but seems to have a very strong chance of coming over. The "Wii de Asobu Selection" series was announced at the Tokyo Press Conference, a series of GameCube classic first-party titles reissued with built-in Wii Remote controls. Think what Capcom pulled off with Resident Evil 4, only applied to the likes of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Pikmin, and Metroid Prime.
There's two ways to look at this move by Nintendo. On the one hand, a lot more people will play Pikmin re-issued as a Wii title that probably even owned GameCubes. On the other hand, this screams "cash in" when the system is compatible with the GameCube anyway. There's a few I'll pick up, I'm sure, but I'll feel a little dirty about it. Anyway, here's a list of the confirmed Wii de Asobu Selection titles.
- Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
- Pikmin
- Chibi Robo
- Mario Tennis
- Metroid Prime
- Metroid Prime 2: Dark Echoes

The Metroid Prime games and Pikmin will definately be worth picking up for the controls.. I never played Metroid Prime 2 Echoes so that's a definate purchase for me.
That's a definite purchase for me too, JPThunder. I guess I'll also get Chibi Robo and Mario Tennis, too (that is, if these games come over to America).
I don't see a problem with this strategy at all, cash-in or not. If the games are good, they'll sell. If someone only wants to play entirely "new" games, they have plenty enough to choose from.
Mario Tennis and Mario Golf would be cool to re-control. They could do it to Mario Kart: Double Dash too if they wanted another game to use the wheel with.
MP and MP2 with MP3 controls? The gamer in me screams "Yes!", but the wallet in my pocket screams "No!".
